World One: Episode 10: July 25. 2019 from Fourcaster on Vimeo.

The transmission opens with the Anchor calling for TERI to witness this final event. He explains that his memories of the current situation have come back to him, and that he understands that many people colleagues, students, friends from 2019 have been integrated into TERI’s subroutines. To these newly acknowledged individuals, he reiterates his call to witness. The Anchor then puts up the last tile, the room flashes white, and the door opens.

Before walking through the door, the Anchor explains that the next room contains the SPORE the Story Propagation and Ontology Reorientation Engine and that he is preparing to fuse with the device, forsaking his individuality for the purpose of SPORE activation. He stresses that whatever world whatever 2049 comes next, he won’t be there to see it, and that it will be up to the people from 2019.

The Anchor Patrick then takes a moment to say goodbye, commemorating old friends, colleagues, Fourcasters, and students, several by name. He asks the people watching to observe the activation ritual carefully, to remember it for future iterations. He then reveals that his past-self in 2019 had indeed been watching, even though this had been (is) strictly forbidden. He implores his past self to follow in his footsteps, and to proceed with the sacrificial SPORE activation if and when it should come to pass.

Finally, the Anchor bids farewell to TERI, and wonders out loud whether he will become a part of the AI. He insists again that viewers pay attention, that this has never been done before. Closing with “this is all about you, now,” Patrick exits the bunker through a door to the right.
