TL;DR – An archive of the Terrarium project from 2019.

The year 2049 has made contact. By means of a complex (and still only partially understood) communications device, the SPORE, the Fourcasters have facilitated daily 5-minute transmissions from the future. Much remains unclear, but one thing is for certain—this is just the beginning. 

Over the past two weeks, viewers of our spore2049 Twitch channel have worked with a 2049 version of UChicago faculty member Patrick Jagoda to solve puzzles that released him from a secure bunker and allowed him to activate the SPORE.

Though our 2019 version of the SPORE was severely damaged during the last broadcast on July 25, 2019, our engineers are working hard to make the necessary reparations and replenish the crucial resources to reestablish contact.

Based on preliminary analysis of recovered footage, we have concluded that our connection to 2049 has shifted to an alternative timeline. We have no idea what to expect from this new world…
