After some initial discussion about the Anchor’s background, viewers suggest via TERI that he try “651” and “451” on the third lock. The code is successful: the bag contains pieces from the board game Go. The Anchor reveals that he used the game Go to train TERI. The only other relevant connection he can remember is Alpha Go, an early use of machine learning and artificial human networks to beat the human champion of the game Go. The Anchor mentions that although he did not create TERI, he did help train TERI and knows that the AI would never hurt him.
The bag also contains a tile with two terrariums on it–mirror images of one another–and people clad in blue lab coats. He puts the tile up and the room again flashes white. The viewers suggest, via TERI, that the people in the blue lab coats might be the Fourcasters from 2019, prompting the Anchor’s memory. He now recalls that the Fourcasters developed the SPORE device. He also mentions that he had thought that things could change that summer. The viewers then propose the code “SNES” for the last lock, but it fails.
After the broadcast, players assemble the SNES titles alphabetically and use the codes associated with each to piece together a YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29Eu47CbCZ8. This video features clips of different video games at various lengths. Players ID each game and then use the number of seconds of each clip to index into the name of the game. The resulting string is COMBOISTOAD.
